What grade are you in?
I’m in tenth grade
How long have you been doing gymnastics?
I have been doing gymnastics since I was 3.
What position do you play?
Well there aren’t really positions, but I participate all around.
How did you start doing Gymnastics?
When I was little my mom put me in and i started out with classes and then it became competitive.
Do you want to play in college and or, do you know what school you’re attending?
No, but I do want to do it in college
Do you play any other sports?
No, I don’t participate in anything else.
Do you play outside of school?
Yes, I do.
Do you like playing in school or outside of school better?
I like playing in school better because it is more of a team sport when you are in school but outside of school it is more individualized.
What was the hardest thing to learn about the sport?
The hardest thing was learning how to stay calm and not letting your nerves get to you.
What is your favorite thing about the sport?
My favorite thing would be being able to do it with my team and my best friends.
What was your greatest achievement in the sport?
My greatest achievement would be winning states for two years in a row.
What was the greatest moment you had during the season?
Basically the same, winning states.
How do you stay in shape?
I have practice every day for about 5 hours so I don’t really get a break. That is basically how I stay in shape.
Is it hard for you to balance school and gymnastics?
Yeah, it definitely is. I do most of my homework in study hall, however so i dont have much work to do at home.
Do you ever think about going pro?
No, I used to but not any more.
Do you have any before game superstitions or rituals?
Not really. I just listen to music on the bus ride every time.
How did the season go?
It was good; we were undefeated and it was basically just us against SJV in the Shore sectionals in states, so we did really well.
