Taken from the animated film, Barbie: Mermadia, a low-quality image of the character Bibble singing in a pool was incredibly popular in August. It was used to reminisce on childhood memories or just reference moments from our childhoods, allowing for many people to relate to a meme for once.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Johnny, Johnny

The infamous Johnny, Johnny. The original video was posted in 2009 as a nursery rhyme and showed a boy being scolded for eating sugar. For whatever reason, this nursery rhyme reappeared in August of this year in a high-definition and annoyingly catchy song. The almost creepiness and just utter stupidity of the rhyme was what made it funny for most, and allowed it to blow up as one of 2018’s most popular memes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Full Celebrity Names

Google allows searches for real names of celebrities who go by popular aliases, such as Lil Pump or Ice Cube. People put creative and hilarious twists on the search feature, resulting in “real” names of celebrities becoming a meme.
