This is an upbeat pop sounding song talking about missing someone and going into detail on exactly what they miss and why they miss it. It’s one of those people that come into your life and make small changes that you don’t realize and when they leave your life it just doesn’t feel right. That’s basically what this song is in a nutshell, and genuinely is a great song.

“The Jumper” by Third Eye Blind
This is the song that requires attention when you’re in desperate need of hope. This is basically an “anti-suicide anthem” portraying a life with hope shoved into it, and not giving up. This is truly such a great song, it shows that there IS hope and that there WILL be a happy ending to the sad start. All you have to do is wait for the bad to pass and the good will come.

“Car Radio” by Twenty One Pilots
This is a song based off of a true story where Tyler Joseph, the lead singer of the band, explains how his car radio was stolen out of his car meaning he didn’t have any music for awhile. Some people might say just play music out loud on your iPhone X, but this happened a while ago when you had to plug in headphones to an mp3 player. So, it wasn’t a simple solution. Tyler would be in his car in the complete silence trapped in his thoughts. This would lead to good and bad thoughts swimming around his mind at a fast pace. Overall, this is a deep and a pretty depressing song.

“American Idiot” by Green Day
This song is one that everyone should know by now. This song is one where someone wants to be out of line and “edgy” by doing all of the things that no one else would want to do in their life. Billie Joe Armstrong, the lead singer, explains how he doesn’t want to be like all of the brainwashed americans, he wants to be extraordinary and see the world like nobody else. This song is actually really cool and if you (for some odd reason) haven’t heard this one, totally give it a shot!

“A.M.” by One Direction
One Direction are seriously extremely overlooked and portrayed as a bunch of british kids in a boyband making pop songs, they have so many good songs that no one credits them for and this is one of them. This song is basically when you’re with someone all throughout the early hours of the day just talking and laughing at nothing because you’re both so tired- those are the best conversations anyone could have. This is such a chill song it’s not pop sounding at all and in my opinion, one of the best songs these guys have ever made.
