Justice League has finally arrived to theaters all around the world! In this piece, I’ll give you a brief overview of my thoughts on the film, and whether or not you should visit theaters near you this weekend . Warning, if you haven’t seen the film, be careful because this review contains spoilers. In short, though, Justice League is an all-out fun and entertaining film! Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg made their first big screen appearance, and Warner Brothers did a fantastic job with the casting for this film.

The focus of the film are mostly Batman and Wonder Woman trying to assemble a league to take down Steppenwolf before he can obtain three motherboxes that have been hidden around the world. Steppenwolf tried to obtain the motherboxes before, but the amazons, Atlantians, and Lanterns were able to take him down before—but now he’s back! Batman was easily able to recruit Barry Allen aka The Flash only because Allen claims “he needs friends”. Aquaman wasn’t so easy to convince since he’s the protector of the sea and he doesn’t want to get killed like Superman. Wonder Woman attempted to recruit Cyborg, but that didn’t work out since Cyborg did not know how to control his powers and wasn’t fully ready for the world to see him. Cyborg eventually joins the team when he finds out his father was kidnapped by Steppenwolf. Aquaman doesn’t join until he rescues the team from death, and finds out Steppenwolf took the motherbox from Atlantis!

In the final battle, the League travels to Steppenwolf’s base of operations to separate the motherbox before he can turn Earth to his home, Apokolips! The team shined brightly as a unit, using all of their abilities to beat down parademons, which lead to the final confrontation against Steppenwolf. Each member tried their best to fight off Steppenwolf, as Cyborg tries to separate the motherboxes. Steppenwolf almost kills Cyborg by ripping apart his robot leg and arm, but Superman came in clutch and fought off Superman for a little bit, so he can help repair Cyborg and finish separating the motherboxes. Superman uses his senses to sense danger as civilians try to escape! He and Flash rescue civilians, but Superman won against the competition as Flash is able to push a car as fast as possible away from the debris as Superman flies away over and above an entire building! The two heroes return to the battle as Superman rips apart the motherboxes with Cyborg and saves the world! Steppenwolf’s army betrays him as the parademons eat Steppenwolf and he is taken away from the portal.

In my opinion, forget what the critics say about the film. Justice League is a lot of fun, very entertaining, and full of excitement from beginning to end! On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being not very good and 10 excellent, I give it a solid 8/10, only because I believe Steppenwolf could’ve been a stronger character with a bit more of a backstory. The movie is fun, awesome to watch with anyone, and the post credit scenes has me excited for a potential sequel with the Legion of DOOM as the next opposing threat for the Justice League, and I want to know who the seventh member is! Green Lantern? Shazam? We’ll find out in the sequel.
This is Pedro Vasquez signing off, Ta-Ta!
