FTHS Students Bring Fairytales to Life in Wall Murals

Freehold Township High School students brightened up the view for children receiving treatment at a local hospital. Members of the Dr. Willam R. Satz Chapter of the National Honor Society and the Art Club helped change the look of the Pediatric Physical Therapy room at CentraState Medical Center. Seniors Christina Brancella, Rachel Fakult, Mackenzie Kean, Kayce Lacson, and Samantha Schiff along with art teacher, Marissa Alvarado, spent time drafting paintings for this project. They made their ideas come to life on the walls of the local hospital. Their fairytale themed murals now cover the walls of the room where children go for physical therapy treatment.

National Honor Society Advisors, Tara Pollifrone and Danielle Foerg, commented, “We are so happy to have been presented with this opportunity. What these students did alongside their dedicated and talented art teacher, Ms. Alvarado, is truly remarkable and defines community service perfectly. We are proud that our students are using their talents to help our community.”
