Hi! I’m going to tell you a little bit about myself before getting started. My name is Erica Singh. I’m a junior and I love music. I love listening to it, I love writing about it. I just like connecting with the vibes they give me. Every Friday, I am going to give you a playlist of all of my favorite songs I listen to, along with a description of them so you can learn about them. I hope this can get you into different genres of music or to start liking a certain band or artist. Here is my playlist, I hope you enjoy!
“Drummer Boy” by Justin Bieber ft. Busta Rhymes
This song has been my favorite Christmas song since 2012. Justin’s Christmas album is something to listen to if you’re not really “in the mood” for Christmas, I usually listen to this song to get me pumped for the holiday season. Busta Rhymes’ rap is so fast and it makes me feel like i’m at a Christmas dinner with Justin Bieber and Busta Rhymes for some reason.

“Santa Tell Me” by Ariana Grande
This song is so festive, it seriously makes me feel like i just got back from playing in the snow and i’m drinking hot coco. This track is so upbeat and simply fun to listen to, definitely one of my favorites. Ariana talks about everything that has to do with Christmas and it’s such a great song.

“All I Want For Christmas Is You” by Mariah Carey
What’s a Christmas playlist without this classic? If you don’t know this song (which I’m not sure how that’s possible) you should give this a listen, this song makes me break out in a serious dance every time.

“This Christmas” by Chris Brown
I seriously listen to this song even when it’s not socially acceptable to listen to Christmas music only because this song is amazingly put together, it’s an older song but you truly will not regret it after you give this a listen. Throughout the song, Chris talks about how Christmas will be extremely special because everyone will work to make it amazing. The music video is especially great because it shows Chris giving back to everyone, he gives presents to the less fortunate and the concept is truly astonishing.

“I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” by The Jackson 5
This classic is just perfect, I really have no other words to explain how amazing the vocals are in this song. I have always heard this song growing up and this song has always been my “go-to” song to listen to during Christmas time.
