It’s back! A year after American Horror Story: Hotel, creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk introduced the AHS fans to a new season, yet no one really knows what it’s about. But here I am to give you the facts. The build up to this new season kept us waiting and guessing even after the premiere. This time the theme of this season is still very unclear, but leaves the viewers on the edge of their seats (or couches, as most people watched in the comfort of their own homes), but leaves us with the title “My Roanoke Nightmare.” For trailers of this year’s season, it was very vague, leaving us no title and each preview video with only a question mark as explanation.

The first episode started out very strong, and honestly left me hiding under my blanket and anxiously eating all my popcorn. Unlike other seasons, this season has a documentary style of filming, as in the characters are being interviewed by camera as they recall the past events that happened. It starts as basic as most typical horror stories: with a young couple that moves into a new house to start a new life, yet the house has some history that cause some “strange” things to happen. This may make it seem rather cliche, but that’s what was planned as it suddenly leaves with surprises and more sinister plots that hang around.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, one of the co-creators, Ryan Hang, said “You’ll see starting in episode 6, the show has a huge turn and the thing that you think you’re watching is not what you’re watching”(http://www.ew.com/article/2016/09/22/ahs-roanoke-exclusive-twist).

It’s clear to see that all of what has been happening in the show is just the beginning. The end of every episode will have you yelling at your T.V, and hiding under your hands. It’s a good season for horror and thriller lovers, but for those who get scared easily, you might want to skip on this one.
