Electronic Dance Music, or EDM, is a genre I haven’t experimented too much with yet. EDM is not all just heavy beat drops or rave music; it’s actually a really diverse category with many sub-genres and different styles. EDM concerts are on a whole new level of fun not only because they’re loud and crazy, but also because you don’t need to know the music beforehand in order to have fun.

“Bloom” by Odesza is the chosen song for this week. Odesza began their career in 2012 by playing in an underground music community. They are categorized as ‘indietronica’ or ‘chillwave’. Odesza has more of a tropical sound with a chill vibe; it’s easier on the ears rather than the hard dubstep.

Also, if you bump to this song on full volume while driving at night, you will have an out-of-worldly experience. This has been scientifically proven by me and my friends.
