What I did on my summer vacation

Sam Donlon (with Victoria Papa), 11th grade — “I went on vacation with my best friend exclamation point”

Two whole months of nothingness… let’s see how some of FTHS’s students were spending it! Even though there were a lot of students who were stubborn on getting their picture taken, a lot of students claimed that their summer was filled with “Netflix” and “unhealthy snacking.” On the other hand, some students shared that they spent their vacation with their friends and family, traveling, going to the beach, and doing the things your time off is really meant for. Unless you’re junior Andrew Landis, who says, “I broke my ankle and did nothing.”  Bummer.
Over the summer Freehold Township’s marching band prepared a whole new set of songs for students to get excited for while attending Friday night football games. Speaking of football, the Township vs. Borough game that the team has been preparing long and hard most of the summer for is Saturday, September 12th. These teammate sacrifices their summer hours to improve their game and step it up this school year.
In summary: it was a quick, fun summer, but now it’s time to get back to the hustle and bustle of high school!
