So many amazing movies have come out this year, and many have been acknowledged for their amazing actors, actresses, storyline music, and so much more. One of the most prestigious award shows is the Oscars. The Oscars this year are going to be filled with glamor, awards, and many surprising victories.

Although everyone wants to see every movie,  there is not enough time in the day. In order to stay up to date and know what each movie is about and who is nominated for what, a list has been compiled of the 15 most crucial facts of the Oscars 2015:
1. It is the 87th Oscars award show.
2. Grand Budapest Hotel and Birdman are each nominated for 9 Oscars (the most this year).
3. Neil Patrick Harris is hosting the Oscars after Ellen DeGeneres, Chris Rock, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus turned down the opportunity.
4. Jennifer Aniston was NOT nominated for Cake in the Best Actress category.
5. Lady Gaga and Maroon 5 will perform at the Oscars.
